Cool! Is this for Kinetic Canvas? I guess you wouldn't need much lore for an app like that :)

Man, it's more like, *if life is just a hobby, y'know? You can make great money from your hobbies and never have to work a day in your life. Most of success comes down to who your parents are and the colour of their skin. But what's in your control is how much you enjoy what you do. Small games ftw.

Hopefully you make more than one!

I just resent the hustle culture assumption, y'know? Some people learn well by exploring and don't need the pressure of perfection in order to improve.

I get what you're saying I just think there's more than one way to go in life. And yeah if you're trying to make games full-time job having a focused way of doing it works well. But also some of the most fun we've had has been making tiny games that don't mean anything.

Hot take. Imo your first game is only as important as it is new. Just get it over with and start worrying about the success of your 10th game.

Cheers - we're currently pretty happy with table lists and matrices in Odin but if we have a need for a more fully fledged spreadsheet visualiser we'll give it a try ✨

Hey! Appreciate the hustle - but sorry, we can actually do that + more with Odin already
April 28, 2025 at 3:21 AM
This is really good, though! What's your secret?
April 27, 2025 at 4:15 AM
😆 we need new sci-fi at this point
April 27, 2025 at 4:15 AM
Definitely up our alley! 👀

Yeah I like that. More games should turn the spotlight inward and address some of the shared challenges of indie game dev
April 24, 2025 at 10:01 AM
Thanks! Curious: any ideas as to why?

🙏 thanks for your vote!

Thanks @mobuos.dev! yeah we've been playing with random sprites but it's actually more performance heavy in particle emitters than you'd first think 🤔

Personally I'm not a fan when the resolution is completely out of sync like in A. But I do like C 😁

I think maybe my nostalgic inner child is a purist and I've been chasing the completely grid-locked pixel look BUT still want the modern fanciness :')

I'm learning it's about personal taste re where you stick to the grid. E.g. there are some HD effects that are not to my taste (e.g. Octopath)
