Indie game really has no meaning if it includes Clair Obscur, it just becomes a really poorly defined genre that could include anything under the sun.

I agree with your take, I always found it weird to include games like Obra Dinn and even a game like Animal Well seems more in the puzzle metroidvania with some metroidbrainia elements than a pure metroidbrainia. And how could they forget Toki Tori 2, the OG!

The same reason I would insist to keep the genre name Walking Simulators :D

And it’s already snowing here :’(

Winter is my nemesis, but I live where it gets at -30C. My feet and hands are always cold and I’m uncomfortable in winter clothes.

The best show since Severance!

Miyazaki confirms that From Software next game will be one giant poison swamp.

I speak French, so I wouldn't know for English speakers, but thanks for including the ligature in the French localization!
November 4, 2025 at 1:15 AM
I much prefer without the borders. Also, did you consider having the œ ligature for Œuf?

You could also add the Gen AI industry to the list, the amount of bullshit Sam Altman and ci say is astronomical.

I will buy it and wait a bit to play it for the bugs to be ironed out, I still have a game to finish before. But I’m very excited for this!

Ahah, I feel you, I didn’t know it was a thing until my kettle wasn’t working well anymore.
October 27, 2025 at 1:07 PM
The Séance of Blake Manor probably!
October 26, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Whislisted! Everyone not French will have trouble pronouncing the game :D
October 25, 2025 at 8:13 PM
It was on my radar, but your review might just be what make me buy the game! I'm a fan of time-loop puzzle games since I played Outer Wilds and a smaller game after Silksong will be welcomed!

On the other side, what are the non-toxic communities that you love? Personally, I like the Thinky Games community, they are really accepting, helpful and passionate at the same time.

What I find weird with all the discussion about Silksong punishing difficulty is that I feel like every week there’s a new roguelike that is 10 times more punishing. Spelunky has hours-long boss runback and it’s too much for me while I loved every second of Silksong.
September 23, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Completely agree, it would be boring if everyone had the same opinions and I like to see all the different thoughts about Silksong.
September 20, 2025 at 3:15 PM
I agree, but it’s subjective, I would have many critiques for roguelikes in general, I think it’s inherently bad design, but I recognize that many people think it’s good design and love them. You could argue that Spelunky have hours boss runbacks.

Me too, but it doesn’t exclude being interested in works inspired by religion or having faith in some things like humanity (which is harder by the day…)
September 20, 2025 at 2:11 PM
Seems like the gameplay match the themes, the hardship leading to desperation, but you keep going anyway because of faith much like the devouts in the game. I respect devs that make a game less fun for the experience like Pathologic which is miserable all the time and it's intentional.

I‘m one of those who enjoy the difficulty in Silksong, but I still think it’s a no brainer to have difficulty options like Celeste with a clear message to what is the intended developer experience. I might get a disability later in life and it would be a shame that I can’t play those games anymore.

One of my favourite games! The caught lightning in a bottle and they don’t seem to be able to recreate it. Even Possessor(s), while showing promise, didn’t wow me with its demo.

No game has a more satisfying exploration than Outer Wilds imho.

95 I think. I am in act 2 and I’m really loving it, even more than Hollow Knight!
