Ceramics enjoyer
A year ago, I had never touched clay. This morning I pulled my first batch of bisqued pieces out of my home kiln. Hearing that high pitched, semi-vitrified clink sound filled me with a joy that I'm still trying to process. I'm so thankful for this hobby, and all the people I've met because of it. <3

Sometimes I get paranoid that bsky is going to get used as a repository for "undesirables" and it makes me hesitant to post anything other than pottery stuff. Maybe I'm just too scared in general.

Derek Au, the actual creator of Glazy.org, posted this blog about true celadons that do not require a reduction environment, these were all fired in a cone 6 kiln.

Super cool video of a super cool guy doing reduction firing in an electric kiln. The heating elements seem to be a cuh-razy ribbon type that I haven't seen before. Nothing is impossible, use porcelain, eat clay, trim your foots wet, breathe silica dust, throw walls downward

Had lots of reduction-based issues at the studio this term, so I switched from celadon glazes to oribe for the time being. So happy to get a successful piece.
