I swear the day after the election was called bot activity tripled, I get like 5 or 6 bot followers a day on twitter despite not having posted in a month. This site has a lot of annoyance but like... at least it has real people on it.

hashtags seem... better here than on twitter so use them I guess? the more generic tags are pretty flooded since 90% of this site's users are artists, but I had some luck with more niche tags like darkart. most success here seems to come from already being known on twitter unfortunately :(
