When people think of Goa (India), they think of beaches. But there is a lot more to Goa. The first two pictures are of a church built in 1676, and a street in Panjim, the capital, on a quiet Saturday afternoon. The red building—if I remember correctly—houses a potter's shop.

I was in India last month, and it was only when I unpacked that I realized just how many #books I brought back! To be fair, about a third were gifts. Oh, and Karla's Choice, which is on my bedside table and missed the photo shoot.

A reminder of all the things women were not allowed to do once... Still a work in progress, but we have come far.

My new #bookreview for Women on the Road is the #autobiography of Fawzia Koofi, an Afghan woman MP and ex-Deputy Speaker of the Afghan parliament. It is a portrait of a brave woman and also of #Afghanistan, and an inspirational story, especially now.
