I really want to dye my hair 80s fantasy movie heroine orange, but my hairdresser discourages it. (Because of the darkness of my natural colour, its propensity to go brassy, it will wind up fading, etc.) Maybe I should just get a cheap wig instead.

Yet another night at the symphony with my big sister. My takeaway: I never realized how much Shostakovich influenced Bernard Herrmann. (We listened to a chamber symphony by the former - it sounded strikingly similar to Twisted Nerve and 70s creepy movie music in general.)

Product review: last summer I bought a red-light facial mask torture device that made me look like hamburger meat w/ bad PIH & scarring. I just bought this snail cream as a moisturizer base to fix the damage. After less than a week my scars are fading & my skin is plump, dewy & bouncy. Def recommend

Saturday night at the symphony with my sister at Meridian Arts Centre. It was Schubert’s Death and the Maiden; I worried I wouldn’t handle it (bc it inspired the incredibly disturbing film about the Chilean military coup and Pinochet’s war crimes), but all went well.

My dress finally arrived - it’s everything I hoped for and more! The pic doesn’t do it justice - it looks gothy schoolmarm dynamo with high boots and feels like I’m wearing a warm, cozy hug.
