Well, oxygen-assisted high-temperature molecular beam epitaxy depositing only Mn worked to obtain MnWO4 nanowires. So we attempted the growth of FeWO4 in the same way, depositing only Fe. And it worked!

Growing, for once, not equilateral triangular nanostructures, but isosceles triangular ones: micrometer wide BaWO4 islands which are around ten nm thick. We use the trick of depositing just Ba with oxygen-assisted molecular beam epitaxy at high temperature on W(110).

High-temperature oxygen-assisted molecular beam epitaxy of BaWO4 on W(110): growth mechanism and structural characterization
We have studied the growth of barium tungstate, BaWO4, by high-temperature oxygen-assisted molecular beam epitaxy on W(110). Barium tungstate grows in the form of isosceles triangular-shaped islands, ...

We have shown that one can grow manganese tungstates (aka synthetic hübnerite) nanowires by depositing only Mn on W(110) by using high-oxygen oxygen assisted molecular beam epitaxy. It should work for other tungstates as well.
