Never was to be truthful. The electoral college is inherently not a democratic system. People in Wyoming have the voting power of 3.8 people in California. That is not democracy.

Your spot on, but there is no organization. It's going to take mass organization and so far no one is participating in that. I have tried to set up meetings but people are too scared to attend.

Yeah, it's hard to say how we would fair after a winter there. Without ever living or even visiting it's easy to just listen to the stereotypes, but perhaps it's less dark and rainy than we have been told. Plus, like you said there is always going south to Italy, Greece or Portugal.

I wasn't sure of that actually, unless you were referring to South Africa. I know most countries around the world speak some english but I guess I assumed the schools were mostly in their native tongue. A lot of it is we know people in those 3 and so we can get more detailed info on the schools.

Yep. The age was a major issue in Australia. They have a 45 year old cut off for the skilled worker in demand Visa. There are some exceptions but it's just more hoops to jump through with limited chance for success. I was quite surprised how difficult it was considering the amount of funding I have.

The issue was all the people who sat on the sidelines because of Kamala. A black woman for president from San Francisco was a real tough sell....especially with no primary opportunities to vote. America may be more sexist than racist I have come to believe, but I think it's a bit of both.

My kids are in high school. It's impractical to do that to them right now and they would be really ornery about it. I didn't want to destabilize them to that extent. Learning another language would be awesome and good for them, but I had to consider what we have already gone through since 1/20/25.

No issue with language in Ireland. In fact I have no trouble with the Irish accent whatsoever. Brit's I can struggle to understand at times. Which I have heard is usually the opposite for Americans. Guess it's my Irish heritage. It's the weather my family wasn't into. Too dark, too wet, too long.

Exactly. The point was the overall sentiment. Which is tough luck, you guys in the US should have done more to prevent this. I gotta admit that I agree we should have, but hundreds of millions of us are collateral damage now. We can't seem to fix the stupid people that surround us.

Correct, it was just a guy I might down there. He actually was a pretty nice guy and was just messing with me in a sense, but overall his sentiment was serious because Australians are freaking out about the cost of their housing and food etc. I get it....but there sure are a lot of Aussies in the US
