I cannot claim to be the originator of that turn of phrase, though it seems to be attributed to me a lot, I first heard Ed Zitron liken AI to asbestos.
But it is apt, it's getting everywhere, it's poisoning so much of the usable internet, and it'll take a long time to get rid of it.
