The “big, beautiful bill” is a dangerous deception. It hurts immigrants, slashes healthcare, and rewards the rich at our expense. It’s not bold—it’s broken. We need policy that lifts people, not leaves them behind.

On this #NoKingsDay, let’s not forget the reason for America. America was founded for religious freedom, self-governance, and economic opportunity, as colonists sought independence from British rule and the right to shape their own destiny. Doesn’t quite feel like that in 2025.

I guess we’re still not paying attention. We had better recognize that all of us are going to be impacted and, if we continue to think this is about someone “other” than us, we will soon find there is no movement there to defend us.
