My favorite medium of art changes pretty much daily. Currently in my bookmaking and TTRPG arc.
Work on tortoise house mark II is underway. Ember the destroyer swiftly destroyed her first one. She wore through the mortar to the foam core.

My new friend Torm, a brave little jumping spider that lives in my office potted plant.

I might be one hell of a photographer at times but I’m not above zooming in 800% to get a close look at that perfect ball of a bird.

Had no idea Stuart Semple had worked on an alternative to adobe lmao what an icon. I started phasing out adobe products in favor of click studio paint and other great alternatives. Thinking about giving “Abode” a try!

Slowly but surely transforming these old animal fact sheets into bound books. The binders had started to deteriorate and many of the page holes were torn. I need to brush up on my bookmaking skills and figured this would be a fun project.

@peterbrownstudio.com thanks for such a lovely series of books, and allowing for a beautiful movie adaptation! It’s so well loved. I made two nutcrackers from stories that I felt inspired a love for nature for my work (a zoo) and “the wild robot” nutcracker won 1st place in the popular vote. 😄

My lovely little bird, he’s come a long way since I adopted him. While he’s still rough on his feathers he looks so much better than when I first got him and he’s much less of an anxious plucker. 😄

And here’s the amazing thing; you can ask her about ANY of her things and she’ll have a story or a passion to share. She’ll have a witty joke ready for every little trinket. Like this single doll eye in resin. When I asked why she had it she simply answered “to keep my eye on you!!!”

She loves dolls, there are cases of little dolls and it’s a little unsettling at times. This is her vacuum

Even her photo albums are themed. And the books in the background are actually VHS tape holders.

She is a big fan of containers that look like objects. Such as little house teapots and fake pie ceramic dishes. For the past five years I’ve made a point to try to find something new and funny every visit and I have not yet failed in this quest.

Her trinkets are everywhere and even something as simple as a scrub brush has a fun theme. She’s had these for probably 25+ years since I remember seeing these as a kid.

I look forward to the conclusion of this very busy year for me, so I can go back to practicing linocut printing and finally finish/roll out some prints of my first piece.
