Not to pile on too much, but I think any fanfare they had would have felt very forced to fans who've been playing each and every game. They're available in some way in every Switch and 3DS game (other than Legends Arceus and base Sun/Moon). There's really nothing special about getting them anymore!

Bubble beam felt particularly bad to me. Any moves that don't actually need to be aimed and hit over any distance feel very strong (thunderbolt and psychic for example)

Could see a world where they would do something similar to how swsh's "number battled"/brilliant aura or completing pokedex entries in PLA boosted odds for individual species

It's actually a dream game like I still can't believe it both exists and looks this good

I don't think old mons should be ommitted from the main campaign entirely since they can add to the experience even if you're not using them and can help build out the world. But the focus should certainly be on the new guys. They've had varying levels of success striking a good balance

It's not for this, it visually doesn't quite match up (gaps in the outer ring of buildings where there shouldn't be, missing ground details)

I like most of the new megas so far though. Glad there are at least some I didn't already know existed from being spoiled, and thankfully I didn't actually see what most of them looked like

Was actually getting annoyed at the scaling of the ZA Royale at one point. Almost every trainer was a rank below me for some reason, even though I had missions to beat trainers a rank *above* me. Was almost 10 levels over everyone so almost any 2x attack was one shotting

They pushed out an update to the game, and while the preload is encrypted and inaccessible, update data isn't. So they were able to datamine everything that was in that update, which apparently included item data and some other things? (idk I haven't actually looked at it)

I was going to make a joke about how I'd actually be very excited to see other members of the deadly six but unfortunately I don't remember any of their names
