Have you thought about moving from NA? I know it's hard next to impossible, but, with how much capitalism turned everything and anything there to "profit or die", looking elsewhere becomes more desirable and can take some of the frustration and inconveniences caused by.. well ,everything nowdays.

A reason why there is a rise in Indie content (games, animations comics, manga etc) is the quality and authenticity they give out. Compared to something made under alot of pressure just to meet an-unrealistic deadlines.

A comic means making art in masses, which means you'll need to do one of :
a)Be hella fast
b)degrade the quality to a point where you feel it's acceptable to yourself and can draw it fast enough comfortably
second option is harder/easier depending on your mentality as an artist.
