A good game is fun! But let's say it adds +1 fun to your night. A toxic game is more like a -3 or a -5. The good games don't really make up for it, and you never know what sort you're going to get.
LoL is a game where the good doesn't outweigh the bad, imo. It's good, but when it's bad it's BAD.

A good game is fun! But let's say it adds +1 fun to your night. A toxic game is more like a -3 or a -5. The good games don't really make up for it, and you never know what sort you're going to get.

2 in 5 sounds about like my experience. I played from bronze to gold, then just arams(which are a more lively relaxed sort of match), then quitting.
The problem is the commitment to ruining the game toxic players have. Once they're set off, they won't stop until everyone's as miserable as they are.

There's a fear of social interaction behind it. For people who have grown up with screens and images, the idea of talking with people becomes a burden. I can just make the screen do the voice without the awkward social interaction!

No lines, because it looks more like a cozy wrap around rather than a tight squeeze. There's fun in the idea that a large snake like that COULD squish you, but instead they gently wrap themselves around your particular shape.

Back in the day I did a pacifist speedrun of the game, which was the world record for Almost a week. The developer saw it, and both enjoying speedruns and having been REALLY good at his own game, proceeded to blow my time out of the water.
