Busy working Mum of 2. Ir(ish) & Romani with a delightfully English accent. All posts are 100% queer propaganda. Brighton & Hove, UK (more Hove, yeh I'm one of those tw@s).
Currently @lucyworsley.bsky.social and I are on a break as there's a new series of Digging for Britain with @profaliceroberts.bsky.social don't tell @wmarybeard.bsky.social that I have 2 other fiercely intelligent historians on the go though, as I don't want to risk her ire.

If you ever want to experience a home lobotomy because you can't be arsed to reach for the remote, I highly recommend 4 hours of back to back Escape to The Country on a fringe Freeview channel.

Girls, remember if you want to bag the man of your dreams, go on the game and do nasty things on a Steinway grand.

I know it's become fashionable to knock Love Actually over the last few years but I've always thought it was excreable. Every now and then I have to rewatch it just to remind myself just how f*cking weird and creepy it is. Happy Christmas.

@profbriancox.bsky.social has just informed me that weight is essentially unimportant in the ocean *moves immediately to the ocean.

I think Spotify just called me a queer nerd, is this a hate crime?

Watching Jim Henson's The Storyteller, this is proper Sunday hug television, also can we start a petition to bring John Hurt back to life?

Watching #Nativity wondering why the sequel wasn't a massive safeguarding inquiry.

This country has a real issue with victim blaming and it makes me furious. The amount of comments I've read about why the people around Gregg Wallace didn't come forward sooner is bizarre. There are direct correlations here around the blaming/ shaming survivors of DV/VAWG experience. #GreggWallacd

Watching Gregg Wallace unravel his career via social media is perplexing. Where's the self reflection and contrition? If he genuinely feels he's done nothing wrong he deserves to watch his career slip away.

This regency gentleman is half living and half skeleton. From the fabric of his jacket to the inner workings of his neck, the statue is packed with tiny details. The hat works on both sides though! Made from coloured wax. 19th cent. From Science Museum.

Fun listen on the BBC Radio 4 Food Programme on the role of food in Children's literature. Interesting to reflect as a child of the 80's on the impact of rationing and deprivation in the books I was reading and loved. www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/... #childrensliterature

Please signpost my account to anyone my story might resonate with. It doesn’t have a happy ending . Alice is gone and I’m forever changed. But my story, our story will be told. It gives me purpose to aim to help others and prevent future deaths 🙏

As I consider deactivating X/twitter for good I was reflecting on some of the great memories. I think this direct message from a total hero Nile Rodgers and being blocked by Cher are my top 2. What were yours?

Saw this tonight and I have thoughts, the story was hackneyed and derivative (whiffs of Hellraiser, Silence of The Lambs and Cottage in The Woods) performances however superb. Hugh Grant who I never rated before Paddington 2 (he should've won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar) was superb.
