I'm thankful that I'm starting to heal now, and that I'm slowly learning to be kind to myself again.

Looking forward to seeing what 2025 will bring (and also Monster Hunter Wilds). It's nice to feel somewhat normal and human again, and I'm glad I'm still here.

I started a new job and have had two promotions. My team are lovely.

In Autumn, I started drumming lessons, and went on a solo trip to London to see Hatsune Miku live. I also finally started my PTSD therapy sessions a few weeks ago.

Things that may seem trivial, but were huge hurdles for me.

My jaw dropped when I posed the question of 'can users choose their own colour palette for these data sets if the presets aren't suitable?" and the answer was simply "yes, we'll implement that next week." No pushback about budget, time, resource - just yes 🥹

I've since been asked to run training with our data scientist team, who want to start building systems with accessibility in mind from the start! I've also been nominated to run a company-wide session next year (scary).

Overjoyed at how my little accessibility push is being so eagerly received 🥰

I must've had hundreds of hours playing this, never finished it though because the final level scared me too much 😅

Ohmygosh where is this from???

I am obsessed with Monster Hunter and Hatsune Miku, and I have no self control when it comes to gacha games. I also play drums (badly).

I'm super bad at conversation (and being a functioning human) though, so do feel free to reach out if you fancy a chat (especially if it's about accessibility!) 😊

I'm still hugely passionate about accessibility though and would like to return to the games industry one day.

But, for now, I'll continue advocacy and education around accessibility wherever I go! Blessed that my new team at work are so full of enthusiasm and support 🙏🏻
