Putting this on the list out of a technicality because due to either a bug or horrible design decision, I cannot trigger the final cutscene to officially beat the game. In order to trigger the final cutscene, you have to complete 7/14 missions for the "incomplete" ending.

Beat the game a few weeks ago, hesitated to add this to the list because how "passionate" the community can be.

Once I got past a certain point in the mid game it became clear that Elden Ring was decidedly not for me. However I pushed on to beat the base game in spite of my dwindling

in earlier areas. Some chapters have you loop back to areas you've been to but I feel like metroidvania style progression should stay out of games that are fairly linear.

The game was worth playing even with my small criticisms and screw ups.

Enjoyed it for the most part, had some issue with the running sequences with missed timing for things and not noticing what I needed to do a couple times. I wasn't particularly thrilled about the need of getting equipment from later chapters to get a hold of collectibles
