No one understands that Jaskier holds the Witchervers together. Bards are created for certain ages. And his time is now. He needs to sing to the universe to keep it turning.

Oh my God, you're making me happy two times over! I have been in the hospital for the past 3 days, just gorging on Black Butler anime because Sebastian's voice sooths my soul. And now, as I'm leaving the hospital, I get Witcher anime and a Bard drawing from you

I can hear the bard screeching his anger/terror. "Damnit, Geralt, you do not dance with a Royal Griffin! I don't care if it killed some stupid herders. Your sliver sword is a toothpick to a thing like that!"

Somehow, magically, I'm the most trusted adult in their little lives, and the conversations that sprout from this, I could write a book. The populace might be stupid enough to blame all witchers, but if you listen to the verbiage of the song he is indicating one person with "your stupid hair" and he's been traveling with Geralt for so long I think the vast majority of people know he's referring to his former Witcher :D

Agree to disagree, I'm glad it was sung throughout the continent. He belittled and punched The Bard. Jaskier has done nothing but sing his praises. He was a companion, probably helped out in the camp, and was his Barker. Geralt brought his ills on himself.
