It's also worth noting, I got diagnosed on the spot, off an unrelated blood test, and the doctor just immediately went "you have diabetes, I'm registering you on the NDSS (diabetes subsidy list), and booking free checks for podiatry, a dietician, and optics", it's crazy to hear arguments against it

I'm a diabetic in Australia, I can book to see a doctor in like 2 days if I'm willing to pay maybe a hundred bucks aud (most of which I get back). And public has never taken me more than a couple of weeks. I had a minor procedure for an ingrown toenail, 3 sessions, 2 follow ups, 2 months, $0
