I think it's down to a skewed perception of their skills.
They think "I'll turn t'camera on, start talking, and everybody will love me!" when it's truly quite difficult to be interesting. Especially when you've the personality and wit of a sad squeaky fart in a packed lift like these lads have.

Exactly. Even the worst ones make it more entertaining than looking down the barrel of a camera and giving it "AND THEN I WENT INTO THE CEX AND I BOUGHT THIS GAME FOR ONE POUND FIFTY I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE GAME BUT IT WAS A STEAL" for 28 minutes.

I kinda tuned out toward the end, but I think he got a limited edition of a PS3 game that had a slipcase for the same price as the standard version that didn't. Even though they don't differentiate between the two for pricing. So...yeah.

I do work for a larger US-based game collecting/resale channel. Even 8 years ago, on a zero budget, they were entertaining and enthusiastic.
Why don't any of these British collectors take notes? Why do they "DO YOUTUBE" without preparation, or a personality? WHY DO THEY ALL LOVE TOM CLANCY GAMES?
