There “should be ample supply” is where your argument falls apart. Fact: There was not ample supply and there continue to be supply issues with GLP-1 drugs.

You’re speaking to two very different scenarios and painting a broad brush.
Weight does not exclusively contribute to diabetes. Genetic factors come into play as well. This is not about prevention. It’s about ppl being given access to a much needed drug and decreasing the supply.

The difference is that Diabetics NEED the drug. Ozempic and GLP-1’s should only be given to ppl for weight loss if all other avenues have failed. That’s not the case. Ppl were able to freely get this drug to satisfy their vanity, not for true medical problems.

They most certainly are. I am a Type 2 diabetic on Ozempic since the pandemic began, and I had to switch to Mounjaro because ppl were buying Ozempic for weight loss, thereby causing a shortage.
