Honestly as an American I feel the absolute same way. Real life is scary and dramatic enough. I don’t want that for my favorite characters.

This whole movie is aggressively Catholic! It’s set in one of the most famous churches in the world, Frollo is old school religious creep, Esmeralda sings “god help the outcasts” and Quasimodo lives/works in the cathedral! Are they high?!

That movie is one of you all time favorites and he’s brilliant in it. It’s hard to stand out next to Nathan Lane and Robin Williams, but he is so damn funny be the straight man (pun intended) with their nonsense.
