California has been trying for years to deregulate housing laws to boost production, but it has not worked.

I'm glad that Schiff recognizes that more is needed. Allowing developers to make a profit off of low income housing production through tax credits is necessary to motivate them to build.

It's not going to spike healthcare costs for many, because many simply won't be able to pay.

Instead, it will result in around 50,000 additional deaths next year and leave many more with permanent disabilities.

The public should not be reliant upon nor trust a private company for this information anyways. What's needed is a national law that requires disclosure of this information to all buyers. Some states currently have no such requirement.
