It’s been a long while since I last read that one.
Can probably squeeze it into the Feb pile. I always got stuck at the Armand book and never managed to get beyond that one in the series. 🫣

He mentioned it at Nexus. New Mistborn coming before Stormlight 6 - so before 2031.

The best reward for the slog of the first half (particularly part one) is to then go back and re-read the To Kill prologue and you get hit with the biggest … ooooohhhhh

You can do it. Easy!!!

Just over 6 years … but in that time there’s a lot of other cool shit coming out

It’s rewarding because the books are big but they read so fast that they feel small.
Great series.

Almost bought the premium hardbacks of the first four Stormlight books from Gallancz but decided splashing £200 on myself a week before Chrimbo was poor form.

Start with Mistborn but read it if you can - for a 600+ page book it’s a fast read. If you really must listen to the audiobooks opt for the dramatized versions from Graphic Audio.

I don’t think it’s the possible points on the table that’s the issue - it’s that for two seasons now whenever there is a high pressure game - top spot up for grabs, play off final, cup semi, whatever - we don’t seem to have the passion for it. That’s really worrying.

Yeah think I agree. We go missing in high pressure games as we did last season. I've no doubt we get a play offs spot but passion should have won that game last night and it wasn't there.

It’s below the water line so bogs up pretty quick but also drains oddly well.

Suspect it’ll be ok to play - but it’ll be slow and heavy.

First Mistborn book and Elantris are good places to start. Don’t start with Way of Kings - it’s a bit too big for a first read.

Whatever social tool we use to post to X today will likely enable cross-posting to BlueSky.
It’s probably also possible to run a script that checks the X account every few minutes and then reposts anything new to BlueSky. There are definitely options that don’t involve additional work.

Highly recommend the audio dramatisation version of Elantris. It’s a pretty short book, comparatively, so fun to enjoy with the sound effects and different character personalities.

Arguably the original already is - but you hold a valid point
