I visited someone in detention in Texas yesterday. He said the pressure to ‘self deport’ is intense and makes him feel crazy. We were about to get him a lawyer to try for habeus. Ugh.

Does anyone believe they’ll put in enough showers/toilets for 7,500 people? And if they do how will it affect the local infrastructure?

Please speak up for Rodney. A year in an ICE camp is beyond comprehension.

Many of the deaths in ICE custody have been due to medical neglect… let’s make sure Rodney isn’t one of them.

If you read it that’s his only critical comment. He then goes on to blame Walz etc and brag about how many people TX deports. I’m glad he’s showing an iota of opposition but overall he’s still a bitch.

You can hear one of the agents shout ‘gun gun gun’ when taking possession of the gun and shortly after the other agents shoot him

We need to wake everyone up. I’m in Austin, so many people here have no clue ice is active.
Minneapolis is 2.5 times more dense than Austin, that makes it easier for ice to pop in and out. But loads of people don’t want to know.

The ‘problem’ here in central TX is ICE is here but the stops are random and spread out. At least with a surge you can respond but here we find out too late to do anything. I don’t want a surge here I just wish we could respond/help better.

Leaving a parking lot once I got in a stand off with a waymo. It wanted to let me out but I needed it to go. Can’t just wave it on like a human.

Plenty is happening in central Texas it’s just usually traffic stops, not big raids. I imagine it’s like this in most places, it’s not in the news and if you don’t know affected people it’s easy to not know.
