Toprak was very pleased with his two half days at Portimao. Finger isnt impacting on the bike but is definitely a factor for him. He was fast and consistent when on track and gave the team a massive boast by being back and testing the new frame

Honda test programme is bigger again this year. Ive been told they have the budget for two days on track each month & a lot of engine dyno time allocated to them too. They'll have four wildcards (Phillip Island with Nagashima while Bridewell looks set to do Assen and Donington & one other)

The opening test of the year is always great to be trackside for. Often riders tell us you cant read anything into the first day...but later in the year they'll us that they knew from riding down the pitline how the season would play out!
