Partially, yes. However, what used to be fringe groups now have the internet to reach out and make these men who feel abandoned (self-inflicted or not) feel like they have a community to latch on to. This usually starts as an innocent "we hear you" type thing, then becomes more hateful with time.

Good story, AMAZING music, easy to learn while having a fairly large build variety to fit whatever playstyle you like, and no need to grind a ton. Lots of little side quests that are fun and give really good rewards.

Absolutely phenomenal series that doesn't get nearly enough love. The music is insanely good, composed by Motoi Sakuraba, also known for his work on Dark Souls.
As for accessiblity, they're available on the GBA NSO consoles. If you're a little more savvy, ROMs are readily available.

It's a byproduct of rampant corporatism. A time when making money is more important than literally anything. Who cares about future generations when you can hold more wealth than most countries' GDP? Throw it all away, and praise be the elite.

Generally, yes. "Lower end" kits like High Grade (HG) are usually around $15-20 USD. While the more highly detailed Perfect Grade (PG) kits are usually between $100-200 USD.
HG are usually 1/144 scale, which are around 6" (15 cm) tall. PG are typically 1/60 scale, which is close to 2' (61cm) tall.
