Mana rocks still work. I don’t know where the line for “casual” is, but it has never not been the target of removal at my table. One time an opponent tutored for removal but didn’t have any mono colored removal in his deck, it was a David vs Goliath moment I still revel in, and rub in his face.

Definitely, especially since we need an easy to understand system, and jank being jank, some of it will always get clipped😢

My janky devotion Renata deck is a 4 because of Hall of Gemstone. My table isn’t gonna use brackets so it doesn’t really affect me but I don’t like that it’ll skew against jank.
