One of my most trivial pet peeves in life is when people call Donkey Kong a Mario spinoff series. They are sister franchises! Luigi‘s Mansion and Wario Land are Mario spinoffs because those characters originated in Mario games. Conversely, Donkey Kong and Mario both started in the OG arcade game.

I just started playing an indie game called wormhole on switch that had flown completely under my radar. It is an awesome “snake-like” game with a ton of gameplay elements that remind me of Pac-Man Championship Edition. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves arcade games / rougelikes!
