I found it odd too. I've seen the numbers dwindle on the videos of people talking about the situation/ asking for help. "2.2 million people trapped in Gaza", "2.1 million", "1.8", "1.5"... All the while talking about how the casualties were only ever in the tens of thousands. The math ain't mathing.

I was honestly too stunned to address it properly in the moment, and knew that if I did say something, it would sound like the ramblings of a madman due to how passionately I despise generative AI. So I ended up only saying "Yeah, I have been doing this for over 20 years." and resuming my drawing.
