Agreed. Reopen the government without ACA cuts, and then discuss it. That's literally exactly what the Dems are proposing but the MAGA party will not do.

It does seem possible that Gen Z women are less tolerant of male reliance on them for emotional issues. Maybe we've done a better job of empowering Gen Z women in this way. Or maybe Gen Z women have more fulfilling friendships than Gen X or Millennial women did.

I'm a male Gen x/Millennial straddler. I do not think it's possible that Gen Z men talk to their friends about emotional and "real" things less than our generations do. I do not accept the premise that this reflects any change in male friendship between Gen X/Millennials and Gen Z.
