Based on a nice duo of earthy citadel colours plus Vallejo green for the side guy, all the desert guys shortly to be decorated with some aquarium sand, with some scrubland type grass from the local model shop, and with huge thanks to @grantthethief.bsky.social for the advice

And painted! My skills are prrrrretty rough still (inborn dexterity issues & haven't painted a thing for a decade), but as a collective group viewed from a few feet away as they will be at a gaming table, they look: perfectly All Right!

Wait hold the phone. I just learned GW now does yearly "grand narrative" events where you go to a big themed venue to play warhammer games and costumed characters give you instructions and motivational speeches and the outcomes of the games affect the setting's story

There's something about Funny Bugs in cards...one of the handful of yugioh decks I am fond of is based around a big bug baseball throwing smaller bugs onto the field at weird timings that messes with the turn order of a lot of meta decks. funny : )

Asumu in these episodes, meanwhile, has witnessed someone who lives completely differently to anything he could have imagined; and now he fixates on things associated with that lifestyle. He gravitates towards witnessing and being closed to it again, without being able to express why

I bring this back up because I'm feeling it very strongly revisiting episodes 3-6. Hibiki has grown up in a kinder world for people like him. He has a hard time really feeling worried about outing himself

Okay I've figured out what the issue is, if you're wanting to read this: The way the chapter numbers repeat in volume 1 and 2, but then continue from 2 to 3 without repeating, confuses the site's reader. So if you're flipping through it skips volume 1 chapter 1 part 2
