You CAN totally use hungry or unfed starter to make a regular SD loaf. There are also great no knead SD loaf recipes so you mix it and let it ferment, shape and bake if you don’t want to wait.

Not sure where you’re located but I go to my local Restaurant Depot. You can get a day pass without having a business license. They are all over the US. I get 50 lb bags for $22 and change.

There is a whole community. Search the feeds for sourdough and follow them.

Yessss, I make all our breads and if I don’t have at least one piece of toast a day, then my day is off. But yes, toast has always been a comfort food and a tortilla warmed on the stove burner and some butter and roll up delicious 😋

I think that’s their corporate and main mill, but they have a mill outside Los Angeles. My local Restaurant Depot sells this so I think it comes from their Southern California facility.
