I thought that Max & Laura dying in the prologue was pretty standard cuz that happens a lot in horror movies, but then I realized that they’re both pretty much front and center in the box art??? And they’re both dead in the first five minutes.
Ah well. Two down, probably a hell of a lot more to go.

This game really grew on me the more I played it. Yeah, the combat can make regular enemies feel non-threatening at times and the ending section is dumb, but everything else in the game is absolutely amazing, and the story blew me away. Konami’s still got it.
