Overcapacity has always been required to cover a few hours a year. Plus maintenance and breakdowns. No one ever bitched about that until it comes to renewables. Now it's a problem, too expensive etc.

The argument that you need baseload is changing to you need intermittent backup. But yes you do need storage and backup.

I have said all my life that USA would not be there if Australia ever needed it. It doesn't matter how close the relationship they are only ever in it for themselves.

The way to stop harassment would be to take the person to court and be classified as a nuisance and liable for all costs in future FOI.
