I have a Lamborghini now. Because a fifth grader whipped it at me while barreling down the stairs in a huge herd at dismissal. It’s such a special feeling. I’ll keep it forever.

Early Sunday morning in my ruby slippers with Seu Jorge and Ana Carolina for company. Chatterton…….não vou nada bem. I’m cutting cardboard for fifth grade, and they’re going to start to move their hands again and save the world. Nada bem.

This will be my new art room. I believe my temporary basement art room is some version of the Tardis—it’s cavernous and delightful on the inside, expanded by the imaginations of 560+ children and one crazy old lady.
