Governments intervene when markets fail - straight outta Adam Smith. Markets are failing to provide at a reasonable price what families need to raise kids in NYC - housing and child care. LaGuardia was a great mayor and Mamdani is in that tradition. Time for pendulum to swing the other way a bit.
