It's all about the file that you download from them. They prompt you to help on a project, tell you to download and run the file, next thing you know they have open access to your PC, and whatever you have open from there is easy to threaten and scare you with.

Yep. I did get hacked, but I was able to restore my accounts thank god. but I did not come out unscathed, he held my intimate info for ransom and I paid the price, literally. Now I'm out $300 and traumatized from the whole thing 😭
