and genuinely so much of this could be solved if they were just allowed to roam downstairs, but NOPE. mom doesnt want to think in the morning when she gets up to pee. doesnt want to be aware enough to keep the cats separate, so my cats have to suffer.

And so when i get home from work, because my cats are stressed tf out from being locked in my tiny ass room, my room often ends up destroyed bc they don't have room. I'm talking garbage on the floor, items from my bookshelves on the ground, and hairballs that they spit up in my bed.
