I think it would be reasonable to argue that Lenhart was acting to protect Baker's safety. There were at least 3 Sounders trying to pull Cody out or Falcon off and he was not releasing what was effectively a choke hold. It was bonkers.

Yeah it looked like he landed at least one on Falcone while he had Cody in a headlock for what seems like an extremely unreasonable amount of time.

When I read the league rules about placing a player on the season ending injury list, it says that the team could replace that player on the roster with a player of equal or lesser salary. So it doesn't seem that the money just comes off the books and back into our pockets.
