The oldest game I found(a brief search) was Roger Clemens 1986 20-K game. I’d love to find archived radio feeds from the subway series of the 1950s.

Definitely I agree. There’s too many barriers (many not needed) to entry that only prohibit all but the most financially secured to enter. Occasionally there are those whom weren’t well off that make it: Josh Donaldson for example- but he’s the exception sadly

Majority of the players are from suburban areas in the south, and are from upper income families (baseball is becoming more and more expensive with travel ball being a thing); it is no surprise. For every Spencer Strider there’s a 40 man roster of the most maga men alive
