I just think, having been diagnosed at 38, it basically ruined my life, as it was at the time. It's not something to celebrate, but I can still use those anniversaries for something positive. 💙

I never have and never will celebrate it, but I'm going to use it as a time to reflect on how to past year has gone.

Twitter is dead, there is only X. It is sad, but we good we have alternatives.

Hi. I'm Richard. T1D for 8 years. I used the t-slim with Dexcom One, so not looping as yet.
I'm part of the #GBDoc admin team, so it is great to see the community starting to grow on here. 💙

I get breathless walking up the stairs at the moment, so I sympathise. I hope you feel better soon. 💙

Higher, but I'm ill, so I need bucket loads of insulin anyway.

Oh. When Musk officially took over Twitter, he walked into the offices carrying an actual sink and told the staff he was taking over, let that sink in. A publicity stunt, I guess, or who knows, maybe he thought it was perfectly fine. 🤷‍♂️

This is perhaps an obvious joke, but...'Let that sink in!'

It amazes me how they keep going when all their affairs, corruption and abuse come to light.
But why shouldn't they? Look at what's happened in US politics last week; it's not that unusual in the grand scheme of things.

See, I used to listen to his preaching. Another one who draws you in, but underneath is just poison. 🤮🖕💩

Mars Hill. Was that Mark Driscoll?
Talk about a fall from grace.

Thank you. I will take you up on that. I do feel another deep dive into something, but who knows where I'll land. 🤷‍♂️

It was only when I saw the term 'Deconstruction' in this context that I realised it was something people have to work through.
But I had slowly been doing it of my own accord, with certain attitudes. I can only work on myself.
November 11, 2024 at 7:24 PM
Honestly, it is something I've worked through on my own. When I left the church, I had to immediately go through the family court to gain residency of my children, so all that was left at the back of my mind.

The thing I get from those docs, is they are just people who some how convinced me they were worth my time and money, oh, and as an extra you have to live your life by their interpretation of a few selected bible verses.

I could never go back now; the innuendo is too strong and I'm 46 going on 12.
November 11, 2024 at 7:11 PM
I hear you.
I do a deep dive into church culture from time to time. The latest was centred around the rise and fall of Hillsong in the US. It's how I deal with it, but also how I come to terms with how I got so sucked into it, because you can see where the appeal came from.

I remember meeting some gay guys in a club and I came away having had the best conversation and thinking, 'well, I guess they don't have an agenda after all.' 🤷‍♂️
What brought this up today for you?
