Just finished this book.

This is a simple story of Klara, an AF or Artificial Friend, her thoughts, perceptions, worries, and joys. The author does a remarkable job of looking at the ordinary world through Klara’s innocent eyes.

I loved this book.

Today I took 3 very tiny actions in defense of democracy, DEI, and banned books:

1) I bought whiskey from a black-owned / woman-owned distillery (Uncle Nearest)

and 2) I got a non-resident library card from Orlando, FL.

Cost offset by my 3rd action: cancelling my Audible subscription

Carl Sagan saw this future. And the strange thing is, lots of other people saw this future too, and thought they would like to have this.

And this is just the Friday night cherry on the top of the compost heap of disastrous events this week
