Being 5'3 means my rage is condensed. I am a tiny energy drink of a man ready to explode the second someone applies pressure or shakes me the wrong way 🙃

Sometimes, as a little treat, I speak my mind.

I want more masked audiences and COVID safer shows. I want community safety to include masks. I want creatives marginalized by race and disability and gender and sexuality to have support and $ and housing.

This is not radical, this is bare minimum.

I love Frog and Toad. I wish more people knew the author was Gay and his daughter confirmed that Frog and Toad were gay.

You should definitely be wearing a mask on a regular basis if you aren't already. CDC website is down. We will truly not have a solid grasp on what illnesses are going thru the country. Bird flu has been found in every state. Covid, RSV, cold and flu, never left and still impact countless people.

Disabled and senior people constitute the highest number of deaths in climate disasters like wildfires and flooding due to poor planning and lack of investment by the govt.

Something I wrote about wildfires in Northern CA:

I truly wonder how many of the orgs and bizs coopting "change is the only constant" quotes from Octavia Butler actually read Parable of the Sower.

I truly feel that anyone who read and understood it would be doing a whole lot more to protect marginalized peoples.

The dissonance is interesting.

If for whatever reason you can't leave the leaves, you can compost them. (I don't shred my leaves, but thought this was a good starter guide)

🌱 I have been doing a deep dive into #AdaptationGardening— growing genetically diverse plants adapted for my location. To do this, I gotta learn to save seeds (I'm a relative newbie gardener).

DIY Seeds is a fantastic multi-lingual resource. Seed Saving 101

From Seed to Seed is a series of 40 short films allowing anyone to learn how to produce vegetable seeds.

I'm watching the documentary "Poisoned" on Netflix and whew, I just got extra motivation to make my garden thrive. Every food related documentary I see makes me even more determined to become self sufficient with produce if nothing else

Storygraph and libraries are truly the most valuable players in the reading world rn. Storygraph and my Libby app shake hands every day *for free* but honestly everyone should have and use both.
people who use goodreads: jeff bezos owns goodreads and if you want a better alternative there is a black woman owned company called storygraph that you can use to replace it. you can transfer all of your data from goodreads to storygraph and have your mind be free of trumpie jeff bezos! win win. 💙
