Ah man, I gave up on Ars years ago. Joined it back in July 2001 and stopped visiting it regularly because it really felt like it jumped the shark.

And to think for a little while I led Team Ars Technica Lamb Chop for SETI@Home, too… :/

I’d heard about this sim, it looks really interesting. I like the visual style they’re using, makes it feel warmer and more approachable than The Sims.

Hope it does well, as I have bad vibes about the future of The Sims now that EA has been bought out by a private investment group.

Back when I made games for a living (around this time period), those of us who made them always chuckled and snorted at stuff like this. It was cringe even then.
