Today is orthodox Christmas,many of them keep their trees up until the 14th so while the Christmas market is closed it does stay festive longer.

Israel took Mount Hermon because it was undefended and has incredible strategic value. This will not be seen too kindly by Syrians but at the moment they are unable to do anything about it,the strikes on weapons lessen the chance of them being able to do much in the future.
