I started learning how to crochet this summer, and I’ve been enjoying it a lot! The joy of creation for the sake of it has been really invigorating. I hope to dabble in knitting in the near-ish future, but for now I’m trying to keep it manageable so I don’t burn out. (1-2 projects at a time.)
A WIP photo of the first round of a reversible market bag I recently finished. It was the first project I ever did starting with a magic circle, that used double and half double stitches. A photo of a WIP of a blanket I’m making. The yarn is a lighter weight than is normally used for blankets, and the stitch is mildly complicated, so I will be working on it for a while. A WIP of the first thing I ever finished, a mesh market bag. The start of my very first crochet project, a simple chevron blanket that we lovingly call “the janket” because it’s a disaster on many fronts. But it’s warm and was a learning experience that I can already look back on and laugh about how far I’ve come in developing the skill.

I made a bag. Not the first one, but definitely the one I’m most proud of so far. I learned a lot, and made it very self indulgent. #crochet

Updated my license and certification (that I had been putting off for MONTHS and was due by Halloween) so now I just have to try to focus on actually getting a new job lmaooooooo.

One of the saddest parts of the human experience is craving a food that has been discontinued for like 20 years. I think about these more than I would care to admit.
