Have a relative with a disabled son who will be on SSI and Medicaid for life, a husband who works in the auto industry, and an elderly mother whose assisted living expenses are partially paid for by VA survivorship benefits. She posts “Go DOGE, go!” and I just shake my head.

Outrage is warranted and signals that this isn’t acceptable. It’s not about trying to convince Musk that he’s wrong. We don’t have to spiral, but we do have a responsibility to not ignore and risk normalizing. Kids are watching. Being constructive is key, but we can’t not react, either.
