We could name thousands of examples. Human reaction to negativity & threat varies widely & depends on the individual. Many factors to consider alongside instinct; rearing, training, environment. I think it would be great if we had fewer fainting goats. Some people are hard-wired to faint.

Not "sexist" at all. The instinct to protect young is strong in almost every species, but "freeze" only applies to some of the animal kingdom. For example, birds. Some birds freeze on the nest to protect their young. Some, like the goose, will eat your face if you mess with them.

I grew up in a Southern Baptist church as well & was also taught that all other faiths were wrong, the people sadly misled & that everyone else was going to Hell. I stopped going in the '90's, when members started setting up booths in the church parking lot with pamphlets telling me how to vote.

Oh, I think this is Awesome! Believe me, I should have tried this~I've been married for 40 yrs & lemme tell ya, a rolled up newspaper isn't really effective anymore.

You're not going to believe this, but I live in Phoenix & know a lady named Saffron. She just moved to Paris & rehomed her 2 gorgeous Maine Coons to a friend of mine. Their names are Roxie & Romy, they have a ton of white on their chests. I just thought that was an odd coincidence!
