They/them. Someone who can be found getting overly excited about a multitude of things.
Apparently what I needed to work on this project was people talking and train travel.Luckily at the point with some solid blocks of colour so slightly less counting required

More progress. Also proof that I really need to allow more fabric than I think. It'll fit but it's going to be tight

This week's progress. I like where this one starts as it has the most colour changes and then moves out into bigger blocks of colour.

I haven't been doing any crafts for the last month but finally managed to start a new cross-stitch project I've been hoarding supplies for for a while.

Said dress. Look it has fossils, even with a fabric belt it was always going to be a temptation. And yes I have odd socks on, I was going to be outside all day and I wanted to stay warm but couldn't find a matching pair

Current train book. The dark humour is the right level for me, and I'm enjoying reading it but I can already see it's going to be a hard one to describe/ talk about with people.

I have brought all the things because gritty forbid there should be an opportunity for me to get bored on my train ride 😂

Round two of edits to this pattern. I flat measured everything so hopefully it should be pretty close. I'm also unpicking version 1 and using the back and sleeves from it as they were pretty much okay.

This is my go-to thing whenever I have to bring food things so I've made it many times. However, because in my infinite wisdom I put the cooked pasta amount, I ALWAYS without fail make too much pasta. This year I have decided to be sensible and just leave out the excess. This is not always the case😂

The dog has turned into a bit of a cuddlebug. After coming home from a neighbourhood walk,he had his 5 minutes of being a drama queen and then just plopped himself down by the side of me and rested his head in my lap. It's very cute and encourages lots of pets but also strongly discourages moving.

Trying to get better at wearing the fun earrings I buy, rather than completely forgetting or getting self conscious. Today is the turn of the bees (left). The art pallet surprisingly I've worn a fair amount, even though I thought they might be a bit bulky. Maybe there's hope got my Miss Frizzle era.

This monstrosity of a project has also been resurrected, as I still need a tea cozy and I also need a half finished project that is not in the round.
November 24, 2024 at 5:12 PM
It needs a damn good pressing and the hem finishing, but this I was quite proud of as it was slippy fabric, spaghetti straps and a lining. It needs a rolled hem though to finish it and I'm scared of those 😬😂

Well this turned into a comedy of errors, however the top is only *slightly* brown. We'll see how it tastes in the morning.

Here's a dog that is still confused that he does not fit in laps anymore.(But will still try anytime the humans are sat on a horizontal surface.

Normally I have two or three projects on the go in varying sizes. This is one of my bigger ones - it'll be an antique moon but I'm finding working on black more challenging than expected.

Sushi cats cross-stitch is done. This was a smaller pattern I picked up for Worldcon but took me longer than expected.

My mixed bag of crafts for the week. This is either barely going to get touched or completed during the first day.

I'm having strong flashbacks to my childhood. Luckily I only have a small veggie patch so this harvest is much more manageable 😁

1hr 30 mins later and the pieces for an Estuary skirt are cut out. Not quite Sewing Bee ready but at least now the fun part starts.

Going Underground! Spent the afternoon exploring Cheddar Gorge and the caves. Surprisingly few people, although ran out of energy so couldn't walk up Jacob's Ladder or the Cliff. But the caves were beautiful.

The dog has decided that the warmest day of the year is the perfect time to learn how to wrap himself in a blanket. Like dog, like owner

Also pretty lights on the way to the tube
June 23, 2024 at 12:00 PM
Current progress on the big cross-stitch. I think I need a couple of smaller ones to switch out as this one is going to take a while.

Spring has sprung. And the dog is loving it by also becoming a spring himself
